JOE CLARK RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME a Clark Assisted Living Community

Raymond Joseph "Joe" Clark - Heavenly Advisor
A native of Fort Scott, Kansas, Joe never formally graduated
from a high school or college, instead choosing to learn from
life's school of hard knocks. Working in various retail positions
throughout his life, he had an uncanny ability to sell things. It
was often said that "Joe could sell refrigerators to Eskimos!!"
He loved being around children, and they loved being around
him. Jokes were one of his favorite things, as he loved to tell
them and make people laugh. His interests included hunting,
fishing, helping those in need and caring for his family. He
passed away in November of 1991.
In addition to his deep faith in our Lord, he agreed that young
children and the elderly need the most help. He used to
somewhat jokingly say: "Everyone else can take care of
themselves." The Joe Clark Residential Care Home was
founded in his memory, to fulfill what he might have done, but
just ran out of time. He is dearly loved and missed to this very
day.
"Treat everyone you meet as your friend, and do your best to
treat them as you would have them treat you. Always
believe in the Lord and look to him for guidance."
The original Joe Clark Residential Care Home opened in September of 1992 at 217 South Main Street in Nevada. Since that first home, there
have been five (three in Nevada, one in Lamar & one in Butler) Joe Clark Residential Care Homes, which includes the current home located at
1495 East Ashland Street in Nevada, which was opened in January of 2002. The Joe Clark Residential Care Home is licensed by the Missouri
Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS) as a Residential Care Facility II, providing assisted living services. We are very proud of our
commitment to providing each resident with an excellent quality of professional and loving care that is the hallmark of the Joe Clark Residential
Care Home.
